Hi, friends...
My dad is 82 years old, and has throat cancer. He also has a heart condition and Parkinson's Disease, so, he's not in the best health on a good day.
After much thought and prayer, he is going forward with radiation therapy, a very grueling round of 35 treatments... M-F... he had day one of treatment yesterday.
Last week, he had a feeding tube put in, so that he could continue to receive nourishment during the difficult times ahead when he will be unable to swallow...
Today, there was a lot of blood coming out from where the feeding tube was put in... Mom took him to ER...he's there now... getting ready to have a CAT scan...
His abdomen feels better now that the blood came out, and they are suspecting some kind of infection....hematoma... like that... Took the blood that came out and are doing tests on it.
This is a hard time for our family, and we would all appreciate your prayers. We are a Christian family, and know that God is in charge, nonetheless, this is an emotionally hard time... and physically hard time for my father.
I knew I could go online to our Cali board and reach out for some immediate prayers...thanks so much...
love you all,
Lori
Oh Lori-
I am so sorry that this is all happening. I don't know what to say~ my own father has had his share of health issues, but- nothing like this...
I will keep you and your family in my thoughts..
