Heroes (K&K) Weekend!
Hey Gang:
I just wanted to give a shout out to K & K. They have sacrificed a lot over the past six months to dedicate themselves to training for Sunday's LA Marathon. Each Saturday, they drove to Griffith Park to train with me and they have been running on their own during the week. They have overcome pain (Kirsten's ankle - yikes), emotional highs and lows, and the mental torture of having to listen to my rambling Coach's talks. I am so proud of these two OHers who are joining the ranks of many several other OHers who have dared to do "the impossible." In addition, they have raised thousands of dollars for people living with HIV/AIDS. I am proud of all of my 118 runners who will be running this weekend, but these two make me really proud because of all that they have accomplished in the last couple of years. Lets hear some kudos for K & K for taking on 26.2, an awesome distance! Remember to think positive thoughts for them on Sunday and watch for them on KNBC in the morning! Here's a toast to you Kirsten and Kevin! Your Coach, Scott
