Back in October of 2006 Kaiser measured me at 5'3.  Today I went for my 9 month post op appointment.  They measured me and told me I am 5'4.  I always thought I was 5'4, it is even on my driver's license.  Has anyone else had that issue?  Is it because my posture is so much better?  I stand prouder?!  On another note, my doc said my labs are perfect and she doesn't need to see me until May 2009.  I am just so amazed by my tool.  It truly does work wonders!!  I feel so healthy and "normal'.   I haven't been on the boards lately but want to thank everyone for their continued support.  This board is AWESOME!!!   Hugs to all!!!

same exact thing happened to me- same numbers and all.  You gotta think all that extra weight was compressing your disc space! Congrats on getting that inch back and just how GREAT you are doing!!!

I'm glad to hear that I am not alone!!  You have to be right about all that weight too!!  How are you doing?  My nephew is joining the Army.  He is only 17 but he gets to do basic training this summer (before his senior year).  He is so excited.  He really needs this too. You and your family are always in my prayers!!!

i am doing okay- thank you for asking.  I think that with my back problems, I have shrunk back down again though!!   Good luck to your Nephew- I wish him much luck and safety with what he chooses to do in the Army!

You know back in my late teens was probably the last time I was measured and back them maybe 50lbs lighter...I always measured 5'6 3/4 give or take.  When I got measured during the Kaiser Options I was like 5'5.  I was like whatever.  But the thought has run through my mind that once I loose this weight I'll be 5'6 3/4 again!!  Maybe even 5'7 right?!!
