JudyAnne's Secret Pal
I have said before that you are the best and you have proved it again. The package arrived today, again with no postmark and none of the stamps cancelled. How do you do that? You live near me???? Here's a pic of me in my new jammies. They are sooooo cute and fit so well. It's nice to know that after almost 3 years I can still wear a medium with room to spare. Thank you so much. I will take them with me to my daughter's on Wednesday! Please don't look at the hanging skin on my arm. It sure is ugly and I so want my arms to look like my BFF Sheryl's!!

I really wish I could have made it, but I busted my ass all day at school...they (admin) gave me a working day and had a sub for my class. I just finished the 3rd deadline about a half hour ago. I still have 16 more pags to go by the 7th of March...UGH!! I have 10 pages to finish, but it is mostly about organizing it now and of course getting people to cooperative...that meaning principal writing is opening message.
Also when I broke away from school to go and get the entries from the county fair....ALL of my students work that I submitted won 1st place blue ribbons....I was not aware that everyone did!!! How cool is that?
PM me...want to hear about the evening....got any pics?

What county are you in Judy? I am telling you it is the best for me to see these kids faces light up when they realize they have won. I have to take a picture of one of my students pieces of artwork....he hated it. I told him that it had to be one of the coolest pieces of art work I had ever seen that someone had done of Dia de los Muertos. He was just like okay...my teacher is crazy!! I was hoping the judges thought the same way I did and they did...now this young man is so stoked and I could not be more stoked for him!
It is really too bad the people at your school do not do things like this for the kids. I cannot imagine not doing it!
As far as pictures go for the yearbook....I wish I could send you pictures of it so far....the file are HUGE and I not think even one page would send over the internet. When it comes out in June, I will have to bring it to a gathering so you can see it. I will bring the one that just got a ribbon the next time too!

I'm in LA County. One year when I taught 5th grade, we made a literature quilt. Each student designed a couple of squares about their favorite books. Then parents added the other squares which I got for free. Just like the wallpaper sample books, there are fabric sample books and that is what we used. I entered it in the fair and we won first place. Unfortunately, the fair is in the fall, so my students had moved on to 6th grade. Several of them went to the fair and saw it, though. I need to do something like that again. Junior High students need to be boosted, too.
