Hi Carla, Well first off...let me tell you...you have one of the BEST surgeon's around!  I had my surgery 2 weeks ago on your surgery date witth Dr. Higa!  He is so AWESOME!  I LOVE his bedside mannor and professionalism.  His kind ways put me at total ease.  I swear by that man!!!  The best part of it all...is that he SAVED my life.  I am so happy I had this surgery!  Which hospital will you be at?  I was supposed to be at the Fresno Heart Center but surgery was cancelled on me and they had an opening at Clovis community.  Don't freak out too much!  Things will be fine!   I wish you all the luck and will have you in my prayers for a safe and speedy recovery!!! hi cheri thanx so much for the note... very comforting..... is everything going well for u? r u adding reg food now? did u ever meet with a dietician or did they tell u what to eat after the second soft food stage? i know they dont do the protien drinks.. im wondering how im going to get my protien in??? my email is [email protected]  if u care to email... my surgery is at clovis also... did u like the hosp?? anything u suggest as far as what to take etc would also be appreciated...anyway thanx for the support and im glad u r doing well.... hugs,
