Surgery Consult and other stuff...(Long)

I spent all day in San Diego today. Saw the internist first. He was very nice and pretty much signed off on me having the surgery. Then I had my psych eval. That went really well. The voices in my head shut up for the 20 minutes that I was there...lol She seemed to sign off on the surgery as well. Then I saw Dr. Zorn at 2:30. He is just as nice as I remembered. He went over the procedures for surgery and what he expected from me prior to my surgery date. He has a small concern regarding my hernia repair in 1985. If a Nissan procedure was done, I may not be able to have the surgery so he is requesting the surgical report from Kaiser on that. I'm pretty sure that the Nissan wasn't done. I do know that they used a mesh patch (somilar to a Kugel patch), to repair my diaphragm at the time. So, if all goes well, I should have a date in the next 2-3 weeks. Woohooooooo!!! On to other things...I have survived my first 2 weeks at my new job. I am the contract administrator for a healthcare recruiting firm in Rancho Cucamonga. I love my job. I like the people I work with. My Human Resources director and I have bonded like twins seperated at birth...lol It's a quiet office, but we can get pretty rowdy. And there is a baby in the office 2 days a week. She is sooo cute!! I want to wish those that are having birthdays this week, happy ones. I hope your birthday dreams come true. Congrats to those who are having surgery and wow moments. Those are awesome. Sorrow for those who's surgeries have been cancelled. That really sux, but God has a plan. And prayers going out to those who need them. Miss everyone like crazy. xoxoxo

Katt you ding dong....how did you fool the shrink??? Ha ha only kidding...hope you know that! I am happy for you that things are moving along so nicely now...it is only a matter of time before you are a true LOSER!! I am also glad that you are loving your new job...I am sure you bring a lot of laugh to your office!!!! Have a great weekend too!  

LOL @ Janine!!! Don't know how I fooled the shrink, but she's got the cutest little doggie. The voices in my head must have been distracted by her...You know, like most blondes are distracted by shiny things....lol (no offense to any blondes and this was NOT directed at anyone in particular).

Katt I'm so happy and excited for you. Your almost there. You have waited so patiently. I have never heard you complain one time. If any one deserves to get their date and have surgery it's you. Awww, thanx Jodi...ya know, I figured that if I just went along with the program, it would be a lot easier and a lot less frustrating for me. So, I just did what I had to do. I figure from beginning to end, from orientation to surgery, it will be one year. So much less time than most of the people who have had to wait.
