Okay, if I can get a moment to myself to give you a call today, I will.  I was looking at it last night and was ready to scrap the whole darn thing.  I even went to Micheal's and got some new supplies (pad of paper that can take watercolor, pastels....etc and  a little kit of all those things) I even got a little 3 pack of canvases that are 4x6 that I though would be fun to try to create something on. Anywho- also found out that the instructor put two different dates for when this project is due, so I have 2 more weeks vs next week to complete it.   Red lips,eh?? hmmmm....I wonder what is going through your head! hugs, Vicki

Kids who think it’s cool to write the “N” word….three feet long….on the table where my son sits for lunch everyday.

Parents who claim that “My kid would never do anything like that”

School personnel who promise that the “graffiti” would be removed immediately, only to still be there this morning.

The fact that this is only one of many instances of racism in the last year….and NOTHING is being done about it.

Ok…that’s it for me today….all the other gripes in my life seem minor in comparison.

Gosh Kirsten...I am so sorry your son is having to go through that. Kids can be so darn mean...and isn't it funny when parents insist that "their" child would never act or do anything like that. I went through something a bit similar a couple of years ago with my daughter and it SUCKED!!! Even the principal wouldn't handle things. I hope this passes soon for your son and for you too...I know it si so hard on us, I think even a bit more than the kids. Hang in there!

BIG Hugs,
Lisa

Kirstin YOUR PROBLEM IS MORE THEN A GRIPE! IT IS A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I am so sorry that parents and school admisnistrators can't do their jobs. I am still in shock everytime I see or hear of racism in this day and age. I can't believe it still exsists. This has to be hard on you and extremly stressful for your son also. (((((((((((GINORMOUS HUGS KIRSTIN))))))))))))  I WISH I COULD HELP YOU WITH IT. YOU LIVE IN A VERY NICE CITY AND YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE SCHOOLS AND PARENTS WOULD WANT TO KEEP THAT KIND OF TRASH OUT OF THEIR SCHOOLS AND NEIGHBORHOODS.  CALL THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND COMPLAIN! ALL OF OUR GRIPES ARE INDEED MINOR IN COMPARISON TO THIS. TAKE CARE AND TRY AND HAVE A WONDERFUL FRIDAY AND AN AWESOME WEEKEND.

Unfortunately Kristin I am not surprised that nothing gets done...sounds like where I work! I am really sorry that your son has to experience this.

Hi Sweetie, I am sooooo sorry you are sick.  I am sending "feel better" vibes your way. My gripes, not necessarily in order of importance: 1.  Life, why does it have to be so hard.  Someone telly you they love you and always will and life is wonderful, that person is wonderful.  Then, all of a sudden, after about a year, you get told you aren't loved any more and maybe never were in the first place.  I loved this person with every ounce of my being and truly was blindsided when this happened.  There is no other woman involved either. 2.  Not being able to get over the above.  I still cry just thinking of him.  I love him so much.  Even the shrink, who is wonderful and a very good shrink, can't get my thinking changed.  The only thing that relaxes me right now is anti-anxiety drugs. 3.  Bobby - Those who know me know my really good friend Bobby (who truly has a heart of gold and I love him so like a brother, Celest).  He is having a terrible go of it and I cannot be near him cause he is too far away.  He needs moral support badly and I want to be there for him in person instead of just on the phone, but I can't afford to leave to Oregon and miss work.  He has been there for me and has dropped everything and jumped on a plane to help me and I so wish I could do the same for him. 4.  Illness - both of my kidlets have sinus infections and are miserable. 5.  I'll stop here, but I could go on and on and on for a long time. Hugs and much love to you all

Jill, I know exactly how you feel, I was lead to believe that I was loved for the past 11 years, then in Nov was told no, sorry I love you like a friend, not a wife, so please file for divorce. It sucks, but it is getting some easier everyday. Hugs to you my friend....I'm here if you need a friend.
