Does anyone know of a good hotel to stay at that's within walking distance to Disneyland? I can't wait to take my son to Disneyland this summer. I will actually be able to wear shorts and walk around without having to stop all the time! I am very excited and planning our trip now. Any suggestions? We will be there about 3-4 nights. The Disneyland Hotel is so expensive and hoping to find a little economy hotel within walking distance. We won't be in the room much.  I might even stay at my Aunt's house in Seal Beach for a couple of nights. Just brain storming right now. I remember there being several little hotels down by the entrance of the park.

Hi!  There is a hotel across from disney called "Candy Cane Inn."  It is VERY budget, but if you don't plan on being in your room much then it is a deal.  There is also a Days inn close to the front entrance that is resonable. Have fun planning Cheri

Go on Priceline and bid for a room.  I've gotten the Hilton, Crowne Plaza, and Hyatt all for $50.00 a night.  They are all less that 1 mile away from the parks and have free shuttles.  Priceline is the only way to go!

I posted this to another gal recently: I have two young kids(4 and 1) and we went this last summer.  We have been many times, we are Disney nuts too!  Even had dinner at Club 33!   We took Grandma and stayed at the Camelot Inn and Suites, right across the street.  I booked directly from their website and got the best rate (always check the rate from Orbitz, Hotels.com with the properties website).  We were looking for a specific room type, more of a two bedroom suite with a fridge, micorwave and place to eat breakfast (saves money!).  Lots of people swear by the Candy Cane Inn also.  Not quite as close but they have their own shuttle rather than those that use the Anaheim Transit Shuttle.

The very best guide is the Passporter.  I've seen it at borders but prefer to get mine right from the website, www.passporter.com.  They started with guides for Disney World but have a great Disneyland addition. Check out this website too: http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

There is a Howard Johnson there as well. Not too expensive, at the end of the block so away from the traffic, but still within walking distance.

Hi! I agree with Kirsten that priceline.com is the way to go.  I have found that you get the best rates from priceline by waiting until the last minute.  My thinking is that they would rather book them at a way cheap rate than for them to sit empty.  I got a two bedroom suite at the Crowne Plaza in Anaheim last year in April or May for $39.00 plus taxes.  It came to about $60.00 all together but the room was HUGE.  25 people could have slept in it.  It was one of those rooms that you have to use the separate elevator to get to.  We felt like high class white trash than night Wherever you stay, you will have a blast.  Want a stowaway??? Hugs

I actually have found better rates booking in advance.  Everytime I wait till the last minute the rates are much higher.  My recent score was the L.A. Biltmore marathon weekend for $58.00 a night!  Booked that months ago!

Lucky duck!  I have never gotten a very good deal unless it is a day or two before.  I must be doing something wrong!  And I thought I was the priceline queen!  You beat me and now I am sad.............
