For some reason I have been loving peanuts. I am not sure why my body craves for them. I am thinking the crunch and salt??? I try to limit myself beause I know they are high in fat. 1 oz. of nuts are 170 calories, 14 grams of fat, 5 grams of carbs, 2 grams of sugar and only 7 grams of protein. I am trying to stick with .5 oz of nuts a day.  When I get home I want to dip my spoon in peanut butter. YUMMY- I just use a teaspoon and just savore every little bite. I think I am going nuts.    Help, does anyone have a better suggestion to salty crunchy cravings?

Try Almonds instead of peanuts. Darrol

I love peanuts too...and they have been a snack for me for months. I go to Smart & Final and buy the individual bags of planters nuts by the box. It keeps my portions controlled...cause they are so good I can over do it! I agree with Darrol...try almonds too...they are really good for you!

BIG Hugs,

I love almonds and walnuts but only stick to a few- my addiction for cruncy, salty is Trader Joes Soy Crisps- the olive oil and feta ones- they are soooo good- I was really missing the crunchy stuff like chips- so I tried these - you can have 18 chips for 120 cal and they have 6.5 grams of protien- I live to put tuna on them and make a little lunch with them- hope you like them-- Chris

Oh Chris - aren't those soy crisps the best....I love them too.  I sometimes also get pita chips but they aren't quite as healthy I don't think.

I LOVE my Trader Joe's Soy Crisps.  I also use them as scoopers for tuna.  However, my favorites are the BBQ and then the Cheddar Crisps.
