I have Blue Cross of Ca and I was wondering if anyone knew if the insurance company covers the fills.  The insurance company don't seem to know what i'm talking about so I'm having a hard time getting any answers.  Please let me know any information you may have.

Thank You

Which hospital did you use?  I am currently going through the process of having my surgery in Redding at Shasta Regional Medical Center but they have only done 15 lap band procedures before.  So I am a bit nervous about that but haven't been able to really find any other place to have it because I'm in Chico and I can't afford to travel too far.  I also have Blue Cross and I have to use a "Center of Expertises" for my surgery, I can't just go any where.  Any way please let me know which hospital you used.

I went to Methodist Hospital through my primary physician's medical group, Hills Physician Medical Group.

I had Lap-Band surgery here in Sacramento and have Blue Shield of CA HMO.  They paid for all the surgery and I went last Tuesday 2/19/08 for my first fill and didn't have to pay anything, not even a co-pay which is usually $10.  The gal at the front desk said that my fill is covered with my surgery which I had 1/9/08.
