Questions
Hi everyone,
I know I only seem to post when I have a question, but I have some questions
I need advice on the best way to build back up my muscle so that I am not so wimpy.
Also, I just started a few days ago feeling a little yucky. I get lightheaded/dizzy. So, I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this and if it's a vitamin that I'm lacking or what. I do have an appt. with my dr. in a couple of weeks, and I'm going to go in tomorrow and have some blood drawn so that they can check my levels.
Thanks for any advice!
Hope you all have a great day!
Stephanie

Stephanie,
I am not the person to ask about exercise and muscle build up...unfortunatly I HATE to exercise...I wish I was one of those people that got a "high" off of exercise..but not me...
Anyway...about the dizzyness...it may be that you are not getting enough liquids. I was feeling at times when I would get up and such and my doctor told me to try to make sure I had enough liquids, and that seemed to do the trick.
Good luck!
Is the dizziness when you get up from sitting or laying? If so, it is very common and it is a drop in your blood pressure. I had this as well and my doctor said sometimes when you get up from a laying or sitting postion your blood pressure can dip, and with many WLS patients it dips enough to cause dizziness. She told me to make sure I was drinking enough water, and to add salt to my diet (I was eating very little salt, if any at the time). I did that and now I rarely experience this. The times i do still feel this way, I know it is because I did not drink my water for the day. So, this is most likely your problem.

Hello, to answer your question, the best way to build up muscle is to do some resistance training. Yes, lift weights. You don't have to left heavy weights, 5-10 lbs would be okay. You could go to the gym and use the weight machines or buy some dumb bells and use them at home. They have so many dvd's that can help you at home, so give it a try.
