MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

My HMO through Med -i-cal paid for lap band. I amt trying to revisise to RNY. Hope they pay foe that

i live in yreka cal and i am looking for a surgeon who takes california medi-cal  i was told there is some in sacramento or at uc davis but have had no luck finding the right one does anyone know of any in the northern cali area , need all the help i can get

I know that Methodist Hospital in south Sacramento took Medi Cal 3 yrs ago, sure they still do. You want to contact Terri Smith, she's the coordinator for wls there. Also try  UCSF Bariatric Surgery Center. Good luck.

anyone know of dr in san diego to take medi-cal?

When you sign up for Medi-Cal you have the option of choosing a health care plan. If you select Kaiser then you don't have to find a surgeon yourself, they send you to one. In San Diego they sent us to Pacific Bariatric (who doesn't accept straight Medi-Cal). Anyways, I spoke with the lady who approves the surgeries. She said they treat Medi-Cal as a regular plan (I won't have to pay anything for the surgery). So IF your having trouble consider switching to Kaiser.
