MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Hi, what is your name and could you please contact me if you guys accept patients with just straight medi-cal

 I live in Northern California near Reno and so far I can not find any one who takes straight Medi-Cal.  I have been looking for over two years now.  My doctor referred me to Davis but I guess they no longer take paitents with Medi-Cal.  If anyone knows of a doctor please let me know.  I have a little money I have saved up and would even be willing to fly to southern california.

I havent got it done yet but I called and apparently with a referal from your doctor they will accept straight medi-cal :)

I am on Medi-care, and had RNY surgery April 2012. Dr Pamela Foster accepts Medicare. Her address is 1501 Trousdale Dr Burlingame, CA 94010 ph # 650- 652- 8776 Im in Sonoma County and had to travel about one and 1/2 hours to her (that's who my insurance approved me for), BUT well worth it...she's fabulous!!!

Does anyone know a doctor and location that does the lap-band or bariatric procedures in the Northern California area that accepts medi-cal (county/state assistance medical coverage)? Specifically in the Stockton, Sacramento, Modesto area. My doctor says they're out there, but I would have to locate them. He said as soon as I find one, he would make the referral. I was wondering if anyone knows of a surgeon that would be around Sacramento and Roseville, CA.  Im surching for a doctor that i can see for being over weight.  Thanks in advance

I have CalOptima Direct, which is through Medi-Cal.  CalOptima/Medi-Cal will require 6 months of supervised weight loss with a nutritionist through your PCP before they will consider letting you see any bariatric surgeon.  I was assigned to one and was told I couldn't switch to the other surgeon in the office (I wanted to because my surgeon was on vacation and my first consult with him had to be pushed back 3 more weeks because of that... I'm glad I stuck with him though!!)

My surgeon is Dr Kevin Reavis at University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange CA.
