I got on the scale this morning and I've lost 17 pounds since my surgery 2 weeks ago.  That brings my total to 50 pounds.  What a fantastic feeling.  I've gone from a 22 to a snug 14.  I haven't bought any new clothes but my old ones are falling off.  I went to the store just to see what size I was now.  I just wanted to share my happy news.

That is great Kelly!!!  I can't wait to see you again.  Are you going to the support group meeting on Saturday?   How was your check up with the doctor?  I am so tired of protein drinks I am ready for something else that is not sweet.   I am glad you are doing well.

I'm tired of the sweetness too.  Tonight I opened a canned of chopped tomatoes into a sauecepan...added a packet of splenda, italian spices, a little salt and pepper, and some minced garlic.  I let it simmer for a while and even added a splash of water when it looked a little thick.
The smell alone made me feel better. I notice that the smell of good food makes me hungry.
Before serving it, I pureed it with my hand blender to make it runny. It was heaven. I have leftovers for a few days.

As I have always said, there is nothing that tastes as good as wearing a smaller size, or was it, being a smaller size.  I don't know I wrote it so long ago I forget, but HORRAY FOR YOU!!!!  Enjoy the ride and hold on tight, it only gets better sweetie pie Love U, Diane
