Topic: Surgery tomorrow!!!

Hello! My surgery is tomorrow! Nervous and happy to have made it this far. And we saw orcas in Active Pass when we were traveling over on the ferry today.

I am grateful for everything that has happened to get me to today.

Take care everyone! Keep at it and don't give up!

Great and good for you!

I chose TOPS for my support system, I really is great and fun and supportive. I lost weight way more consistently after I joined. I hope you can find a group to get support from. It is too hard on our own.

Keep checking I'm here! And as my friend Susan says: you got this!

Had another appt. with Dr. Zentner this week. lost 4 more pounds. yippee. Not easy to do. Definitely worth the work though. I have my second appt with Dr. Malik in December. Dr. Zentner says surgery will most likely be January or February. Getting more excited all the time.

For those that live in the Victoria area. We sure do need to have more support. I need to meet more people that would want to get together and support and encourage each other. I dont know how to make this happen. If anyone is interested and has any ideas i would love to hear from you.

Thanks.

Ask your doctor to refer you to the bariatric program at Royal Jubilee in Victoria and to Dr. Malick. Good luck! It is a process but it is worth it!

It took me a year to ask my doctor for a referral to the Richmond program.
It took another 16 months for me to get to Orientation.

So, by the time I got there and they gave me the option to sign up for the program, I had already spent a considerable amount of time thinking and learning about the surgeries. I was 110% committed; ready and willing to do anything they required of me to ensure my success with surgery.

It's been six months since I got my sleeve and, even though the waiting felt like forever at the time, I'm glad I had it to settle my brain into what was actually going to be required of me to change my life to make this amazing tool work.
