And I think you are realistic assuming you could get surgery before December.  But then again, I have no idea how many people he is seeing/preparing and no idea how many are on the wait list.  I'm just going by what he's told others and myself (which was, "by the end of the year").

Congrats!!!  I think that as long as he sees you are working towards making changes and following all of the suggestions of the dietician and specialists he will be happy.  He told me that he doesn't expect drastic changes all at once, but steady changes that are sustainable after surgery is what he wants.  Has he put your name on the wait list for the surgery yet????

 Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been on this site, but I thought I would let you all know that I have a surgery date!!!  SOOO excited!  Aug 12th is my date.  I had heard a while back that it would be until at least October, so was really surprised to get the call.  But I am so glad it's sooner.  To recap my timeline - my first consult appt was in Dec 2010, 2nd appt was May 11th, and got the call today for my surgery date.  I am really pleased with how things have gone, and can't wait to be on the post side of the surgery!
