Hi Lynn:
I have an appointment at Richmond Hospital on Tuesday, September 13th, for my Pre-Op check-up @ 2:30pm (it will take 2 to 3 hours). I could come early and meet you at the Starbucks, just inside the hospital's main entrance, if that works for you. Depending on traffic, I could be there be there between 1:30 and 1:45pm. Let me know if that would fit into your schedule, and if it does, I will write it into my appointment book.

I am in Prince George this week, and will be visiting with LindaR, tomorrow. I would love to join your Vancouver support group, but will not be able to attend this week. I hope I can make it next month, depending on how I am feeling after my RNY on Oct. 3rd. Please keep us posted about your next meetings.

I was also called about 8 weeks prior to surgery and went there about a month before surgery. They also doubled everything up as I was coming over from the Island so it made for a rather long day there but I had tests, did questionnaires, talked to docs, anesthesiologists... the lot.
If you're worried, call your surgeon's office and ask if they know anything about it yet just to ensure no one has forgotten to pass your name along. Don't know if that ever happens, but I'm a worrier so I would do it.
