That is great!! What's your secret? I keep hoping that I don't have any intake issues/problems. I'm working out and have been consistently in hope of a good recovery. Happy to hear you are doing so well!! Are you on any FB groups for locals? If so, please give me the name. Thank you

My starting weight before I started the pre-op diet was 246, I was down to 239 the day before surgery and I'm now somewhere around 218. I've lost a total of 27.5 lbs since January 24th and I'm really pleased with my progress so far.

The program's goal for me was to get me down to just under 150 lbs. But for me, that would keep me in the overweight range for my BMI. I want to get to a healthy BMI so I'm hoping to drop under 140. Too be honest though, I'd be happy with anything better than how unhealthy I've been.

I've been hitting my protein targets since day 3 or 4, which for me was set at 81-88 g. It will be reduced at the 6 week post op appointment with the nutritionist.

Water intake is level at 32 oz per day, which I need to start slowly increasing now. I'm going to try to add a cup a week going forward until I'm at their recommendation.

As for calories, they don't give you a calorie/carb target. They just want you to be hydrated and getting your protein in.

For the first three weeks, I wa****ting somewhere around 550-650 calories a day. Now that I'm on puree food I'm getting 750-900. I hope that's enough to make my body think I'm not starving. I've been suffering from the third week stall. Where your body just holds steady.

How many calories and grams of protein are you get in in? How's your water intake?

That is great to hear!! I'm having my Apple snack as I read this. Preop is going well, I'm glad it's good and not all liquid. It definitely makes it easier. If you don't mind me asking, what was your starting weight? I was at 260 and hope to lose about 80.

Hi there! I feel amazing! Life is getting back to normal and I'm down 25 lbs! My clothes are falling off me and I haven't even really started working out yet (just walking for now).

I have no regrets - this was a game changer for me. I'm so happy. No complications.

I'm glad to hear that you are on track to have your surgery. It is the best decision for me and I'm certain you'll feel the same way once you make it through. I'm glad that you'll have the time to focus on yourself. I do hope your Mom's treatment goes well.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'm three weeks out now and am doing great. I'm moving on to purée foods tomorrow. And see Dr. Sampath for my post-op follow up on Monday.
