Gastric Emptying Study?
Thanks jaynak. I hadn't heard of it before either.
Apparently, I will eat some eggs that have a radioactive substance in them so as the food moves through my stomach, a camera can see what's going on. It's painless and I don't need any sedatives. I just get all radioactive and then chill under a special camera.
I am taking Victoza which slows stomach emptying and so I hope that's all it is. I'll keep you posted.

Just thought I'd provide an update in case anyone else has to have a gastric emptying test.
It was very easy. The nurse prepared a scrambled egg with a bit of radioactive material in it and gave it to me with a piece of bread and a small bit of water. I had 10 minutes to eat it and then I had to lay down and get a picture of my stomach every 12 minutes for 2 hours.
The nurse said everything looked OK but the Doctor would have to interpret the results.
And unfortunately, I had to cancel all my appointments this week because I got the absolute worst case of the stomach flu I've ever had. It started on Friday night and my fever didn't brea****il yesterday. So...I'm sure if there was something really wrong I would have got a phone call, but I'll be calling Dr Sampath's office tomorrow to reschedule since I'm finally functioning again.
I hope everyone else is doing well :)
