Dr. Sampath
Hi:
I have been seeing Dr. Sampath since Oct or Nov, and my surgery is in just over 2 weeks (Feb 28). He does scope, sleep test, ultrasound, apt with psychiatrist, apt with internal medicine doc etc. I do also see the ntritionist and am in the nutrition course. As you get closer to your surgery, the nutritionist does talk with you about post-op eating. He does like to see a food/exercise journal, so I would definately suggest doing that now and taking it with you.

Although I think it's great there's a alternative here in the lower mainland, I am concerned by their experience or lack of experience. So please remmeber to speak to your doctor when you see them.
If I understood correctly, Dr S has done some surgeries with Dr Amson, and Dr N, hasn't done ANY bariastric surgeries. Please confirm this though,

I was referred by my Doctor to Dr. Sampath on Jan 18, 2012.
I called the office and asked how long it usually takes to get an appointment. The lady said 1 year. When I asked how long it would be before I could here from their office about a First visit date she said 1-2 months. I was too discouraged at that point to ask how long it takes to get a surgery date. Should I ask my Doctor to refer me to someone else or should I just wait it out?
I suppose I shouldn't be disappointed, but I am. I know that there are so many people asking for help.
Is there anything I can do? Anything at all to help speed up the process? Any advice at all?
