Finding a doctor who is pro-wls
Hi -- Thanks for your response! I didn't want to limit the location, which is why I said the lower mainland. I live in Surrey quite close to the skytrain. Is your doc A) accepting new patients and B) close to either the skytrain or bus? Oh, and C) gay-positive! Might as well put my full wish list out there! :)
Thanks,
Don
Thanks,
Don
He works out of a walk-in clinic (Kensington Clinic), but had taken me on as a patient since I had chronic pre-morbidities prior to surgery. At the clinic, the physician schedule is posted online so you can walk in during a particular doctor's hours and request that specific doc.
The clinic is on Hastings, between Kensington and Sperling. Closest skytrain is Holdom, lots of buses serve that shopping centre. I see Dr Symon there. Good luck in your search!

Not sure about gay-positive, but no indications to the contrary either (and if there were I would not be seeing him). What I do like a lot about him is that I tend to like to be the "manager" of my care - I look at research and often have a good idea about my treatment preferences by the time I consult with him - he is comfortable with this and provides advice and information and treatment in a way that is respectful of my opinions and priorities.
