Surgery Schedules

This is my first time writing.  I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a date for surgery on Mar 24 with Dr. Billings in Edmonds.  Was very surprised that the wait time wasn't longer as my first appt was Jan 13/10.  Might have something to do with being self pay. Might even have been soon if hubby and |I hadn't gone on holidays. Non the less it is coming soon  I just couldn't wait the 4-5 years in Canada and both my appeals had been denied.  Life is just to short to keep on with the appeals for me, 58 and climbing so wanted my life back as soon as possible.

Self pay will get you way ahead every time! Just like the athlete's who pay to have their surgeries, get it right away!!!
Congrats on your date! I'm behind you by just over a month :)

Congrats to you as well.  Are you one of the lucky  ones that is getting it done in Canada or did you do like I did and pay.  If you are going across the line who is your DR?
Good luck to you

Barb, That's great news that your surgery is just around the corner.  You must be very excited.  It is a way too long of a wait for surgery in Canada.  I have often thought about selling my house to self pay to have the DS in the states.....but then I'd be homeless.lol.

Hi Sandi

I'm happy that you were able to get in a have your surgery.  I didn't have the lap as you did.  Yes you can get in much faster to have that surgery done.  I had the sleeve done and the wait time is much longer.  Good luck to you on your wait lose and the happier times ahead for you.
