 Thanks, Lena. This is sad. :( My old surgeon is no longer practicing in Canada. Last I heard, he'd gone to Florida. This was quite a few years ago. Funny, I used to live in Edmonton. All my life until 2 winters ago. Should have waited to move, eh? ;)  Anyway, I will consult them and see what they have to say. Thank you everyone for your input. I appreciate it.

in BC is there a gastric bypass that is covered by medical? and if it is...what one is it? and what do i have to do to get it covered? i have an appt to meet with dr amson on dec 22nd

Gastric bypass is covered on BC medical...OHIP etc....
The only one that is not covered is the Lapband.
Hey when you see Doctor Amson on Dec 22nd...tell him Hello and ask if he has forgot about me?
