Searching for a Doctor

Am considering either lapband or other such type of surgery and hoping BC Medical will pay for it.  Who are some of the Doctors in BC that will offer this.  Would like to setup an initial consultation with someone to get more information.

In order to see a bariatric surgeon you will need a referral to be sent from your gp.

Lapband is not covered by MSP, it is self pay.

Roux-en-y is covered by MSP

Not sure about the sleeve

Dr. Amson, Dr. Tang, are in the same office in Victoria

Dr. Malik is also in Victoria

False Creek Surgical Center in Vancouver offers Lap Band.

I am seeing Dr. Tang in Victoria and yes the sleeve is covered by MSP.
