Lets get an online petition going....threatening a suit of discrimination
family and friends included.
Those that need the surgery now may loose their lives because of these cutbacks

You know what, I would love to sue for discrimination. We are being discriminated against because of our obesity. It's unlawful. How could we get this started?

Good question.  I've been wondering the same thing the last few days.  I can think of a few surgeries that are done just to provide comfort for a patient and are not life saving in the least.  Why do they not get cut and why is it that the other health authorities will allow them to be done and not WLS??? 

Sorry, probably just rambling here as I'm pretty upset over the cuts that have been made.

No, I don't think you are just rambling. This is a serious issue. My doctor says I won't live to see my child graduate because of my obesity. This is my life. It doesn't get any more serious then that.

I agree its serious.....can anyone out there help us put together a package to file a discrimination
charge/suit etc against the government....or give advice how we go about....

As for the discrimination suite, how would we prove that's what's happening???  We all know it is, but how do we actually prove it???  Just a thought that we probably need to be able to answer before anything can proceed.  If anyone knows how to get things going then I'm all for it.
