I'm seeing him next week and am very excited :)
Does he also want us to get scope done? What other stuff does he like us to do?

He wants you to have the scope.

Then he will want you to see his team.  Respirologist, have you done the overnight oximetry tests yet, that tells if you have sleep apnea, if you have it you may have to do the overnight sleep study at the hospital, encrendonologist, dietician.    Then closer to surgery you will need to see the anesthesiologist, have a chest xray and blood work, thats pretty close to your surgery time.

Congratulations on your visit with Dr. Rusk! I'm am very excited for you!!
I hope you have great success.
I was wondering if you were able to obtain your tapp form for your travels?
I have made many phone calls over there about this form, but as of date have not received it. and that has been months ago..
If you have do you think you may be able to give me some insight on what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you
All the best to you!
Kind regards
Kelly

When you call Dr. Rusnak's office the person to talk to is Teri, she is Dr. Rusnak's assistant and is excellent in taking care of things, such as TAP forms.  She is a super nice person and easy to talk to,   I think when you call there when the message comes on push 4 and you are connected to Teri or her voice mail.   Are you staying overnight in Victoria?  There are hotels that give a discount for medical appts.  Also make sure to get your return slip if you are going BC Ferries, they will give that to you when you give them your TAP form at the ferry booth.   Take a book may be a wait at Dr., R's office, there was a wait when I was there but its worth it.  He took lots of time with me and that made me feel comfortable.  Also back to the TAP form did you get your confirmation number from BC Ferries you call the number on the back of the form.  It also says you have to show up an hour early you dont have to and you dont take it to the administration office at BC Ferries you take it to the booth.  You can double check with BC Ferries on this but I have been over to the island about 4 times with all my pre-op appts that Dr. Rusnak wanted.

Ive done all my pre-op tests except need to see the dietician still, Teri arranges everything and she lets you know once your preop tests are arranged, remember to get your TAP form when your pre-op tests in Victoria as well.

Im on the other website as well, Ron's website so if you want to email any questions if I can answer them I will.

Glad to hear you are going to see Dr. Rusnak next week, excellent news

Let me know how your appt goes

Talk to Teri Dr Rusnak's assistant if you have a pre-op appts with one of his specialists or an appt with Dr. R you can get a TAP form from Teri.   You have to have an appt date as this goes right on the form Teri will mail you.   When you call his office when the message comes on who you want push 4 for Teri Dr. R's assistant, she is excellent

I seen Dr. Rusnak October 1st, and have had most of my pre-op appts except for the dietician, and then anesthesiologist, xray, and bloodwork left to do.

What did he give you as a idea for your surgery, date wise?

I think on average Dr. Rusnak is doing surgeries between 4-6 months.  Hope you get in for your pre-op tests quickly.
