Lets Band Together

Has anyone thought of getting a petition together to send to MSP and the News. or 2 petitions, one with names of people waiting for the surgery and along with having to self pay, and a 2nd one with people who have had the Lapband and its success. From what I undertsnd the reason it is not covered is because there is not enough proof that it works. We see almost everyday on the news the epidemic of obesity in Canada, maybe they need to add a little information about the restrictions & hurtles the obese have to go through to get help. As I have read that several people went to the media and got their surgery much sooner than planned is great but I do believe there is much more of an effect with numbers. I would rather be one of many than a single voice. I look at the bigger picture, no pun intended.
