msp question

Hello everyone, my question is has anyone had msp pay for wls outside of canada, and how long did it take to get said approval? thank you

Dear Rob, Did you know you can go just about anywhere in Canada and have the surgery, where there is alot less waiting time. Suzanne

Rob-I haven't had it , but I have contacted MSP about it-they said that they will ok surgery outside Canada. They said they would need a letter from a specialist in Canada saying that you need the surgery ASAP or it will be a detriment to your health, and then they said it would be ok'd fairly quickly-I know not much information, but I hope it helps.
