Hi I asked on the VSG forum for suggestions about MGB....here are some more responses: Yes...look up on the left hand side of the ObesityHelp website until you see "Surgery Types." Then click on "Mini Gastric Bypass". Dr. Alvarez in Mexico states on his website that he does it and the best known surgeons for this procedure are located in Henderson, Neveda or are trained by the surgeons in Neveda. Do a search on Yahoo or Google under "mini gastric bypass" and she will find lots more info. Some people here have received the 'mini-switch', which is a form of the DS, if that is what you are speaking of. Check out Nan's profile...she speaks of the surgery there: http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/Nano/ There is a surgeon who does the mini gastric bypass out in Las Vegas and used to practice in Statesville, NC. I forget his name, but do a google search and he should come up because he is very popular. Best of luck with your search as to what form of surgery is your best choice!
