Plastic Surgery after WLS

Does any know if BC med will pay for surgery to remove excess skin and tissue after WLS? I was just curious. It seems that there hasn't been much discussion around this. C

Dear Caralee, I am still learning about it myself. MSP pays only a small portion of the cost, I can't remember the exact amount but it is very small. MSP will pay for some skin to be taken off but nothing else, it comes to 293.00 total. Not enough to get anesthetic even. If you need a breast reduction they will pay for that but that is it. It seems a bit barbaric as far as I am concerned, some people really suffer with the excess skin.

A girl on Dr AMson's website is having the whole surgery covered for a tummy tuck. I think her surgeon must have worded it properly to MSP. You should check it out. Kelli is her name.
