Hi there, I'm new to this site and am wondering if anyone has had the gastroplasty and has had to have a revision. I can hardly eat anything - no meat, no rinds, no pasta...sometimes even a glass of water will cause me to vomit for hours.....I'm finally going to try to see this Dr. Amson fellow in Victoria (where I had the original surgery but the surgeon is long retired). I moved to N.S. i***** and there was no support or surgeons to attempt to fix me there. I need all the info/advice I can get to ensure I can get this problem fixed once and for all. FYI I did lose 80 lbs and have kept it off up until 2005 when I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia and once I stopped actively exercising and moving (and started staying home on disability) the weight has increased up to 200 lbs - I never got under 170 anyhow but the extra 30 lbs is such a downer.........ANY info/advice/wisdom would be so greatly appreciated either by post here or my email of [email protected] Cheers Pamela Pre-op weight: 275 lbs Post-op lowest weight: 170 lbs current weight: 200 lbs goal weight: 160 lbs

Dear Pamela, This forum is so quiet these days. I don't know anything of the gastroplasty and revision, I am sorry that you are having difficulty. My suggestion is to go on Dr. Amson's support form and ask there as they are 100 times more activity on there and you will be get support and help. In case you don't know the site, it is www.victoriabariatricsurgery.com Good luck, Sim Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
