Dr J Hunter
Hi Sharon,
Yes he seemed very nice and was very thorough when I met him. The feedback that other people have given is very positive so that makes me feel more confident and secure. I am a little nervous and worried about the actual surgery. I hope he will be able to do it laprascopically so the recuperation time will be much faster and less [ainful with fewer chances of complications. It all depends on the size of my liver.
Dr. Hunter said in about 6-8% of patients he tries to do it laprascopically but if the liver is too large and fatty he can't see to the other major organs as the liver sits on top of the stomach so he wants me to try and lose as much weight as I can. I had last minute tests done these past 2 weeks and they were faxed to Seattle. Everything is fine. Some of my blood work showed levels going down in some areas even since 2005 when I had blood wrok done with Dr. Meneghetti.
Thanks for your positive words. I am feeling quite emotional these days and need lots of reassurance. Now that it is really going to happen, it has really hit home and I am preoccupied with the upcming surgery so it is hard to concentrate on other things right now. I am not sleeping too well, so I am really tired as I wake up several times a night so by 8 or 9 pm I am ready for bed.
