surgery date!

Hi everyone, Today I found out about my surgery date. It will be on Tuesday, June 26th at Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle!! I am so excited and nervous at the same time. It will be hard to concentrate on anything else for the next month. I just wanted to share my news with all of you. Take care Sim

Hi Sim, Can you tell me about this Out of Country approval that you got. Did you get the application form yourself? From where? From MSP? Or through your GP? I was one of many potential patients of Dr. M and received the phone call that cancelled my 6 month long appointment only 3 days before my actual appointment date. Like many, I became disheartened but I decided that I needed to do something and a long wait with Dr. Amson was better than waiting for nothing. I got my appointment last December for Dec 7th this year. It hasn't been so bad as I now only have to wait 6 more months but I know the 3 plus years wait for surgery is what's going to drive me crazy. When I saw you've already got a surgery date because of going through the "Out of Country" route, it interested me greatly. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Hi Leanne, You can download the application from the MSP website and you need to have a specialist fill it out, not your family doctor. Dr. Meneghetti filled mine out. If you need help let me know and I can help you. The easier thing to do is click on my name and you can send me a personal e-mail and I can give you my contact # and then we can chat and I can give you details and help walk you thru the application if you want.
