Anyone from BC had the vertical sleeve surgery?

I had the vertical sleeve procedure done in August of last year in Mexico. Since then I have lost 70 pounds and have approx. 15 left to go. I would love to talk to anyone who has had WLS. I really love the support from this site and would love to actually be emailing someone who lives in the same province and in fact country as I do.

Hi I haven't had the surgery yet, but am having the VBG soon. I am apparently second on the waiting list with Dr. Lai in Surrey. How much did the surgery cost in Mexico and what city was it in? Did you have to pay for the surgery all at once or can you finance it? I thought about going to get it done out of Canada cause I have been on the waiting list for so long, but finally got my call. They tell me it should be next year, that is all they will tell me. What made you decide to go to Mexico? SO you have lost quite a bit so far and you must feel great right?
