Dr. K. F. Lai Surgeon in Delta/Surrey BC

Hi, Has anyone had surgery with Dr. Lai at Surrey Memorial Hospital in BC? IThey called me the other day and apparently there is only one person in front of me!!! Wondering a few things about what the steps you went through before the surgery. Thanks.

Hi, Oh I am so happy I have someone to ask questions to now. Hope you don't mind. I don't really like the receptionist at that office, she is so blunt and won't tell you anything. Anyway, they called last week and I have an APPT there on Dec 20. I have been on waiting list since June 2004. How long did you wait? So at this appt, he is just going to go over stuff that has changed in the last 2.5 years or does he actually go over the surgery and what is actually done? The receptionist tells me the surgery will be next year and there is only one person in front of me....does this mean January 2007 or February 2007? I hope it is January. Do you know how many WLS he does per week or is it just when there is room for one. I was in such shock when they called because I felt like it was never going to happen and then finally they call! I am really excited, but for some reason I am scared that for some reason they are going to turn me down, but I think it is just in my head. They can't do that now right? How long were you in the hospital? Oh ya and did I ask how much weight you lost and how much notice they gave you before they called you to have the surgery? Thanks so much. Cara
