Dr. M appt next Monday
Hi everyone,
Well after the last appt I had with Dr. M. where I received the news about the WLS problems, I phoned back and booked another appt with Dr. M which is coming up next Monday, Dec 11th at 9:45 am.
Does anyone out there have an appt with Dr. M this coming Monday the 11th? I told Ann that the reason for my appt was to get Dr. M to sign my out of country application. Wish me luck, I hope he will.
I am also going to request getting copies of all my tests. If MSP rejects my application, I am going to probably go to Seattle and get the surgery there. I have done some research and have narrowed it down to a few places. Either way it is getting done, I just hope I don't have to resort to going to the US, but if I have too I will!!
Does anyone have any suggestions on things to include in the the application to MSP?
Thanks everyone
Sim
Hey Sim,
Good luck with Dr M I hope that he might have some good news to give you, I doubt it, but we can still hope. I am not too sure about what you could include in the MSP. Because I don't have any other health issues apart from extremely sore knees I would tend to tell them more about the psychological reasons and how everything I do is affected by my weight for me it is more mental issues.
I called them and left a message last week to see if I should go in for a follow up after getting the scope done but haven't gotten any calls back so I am taking that as a "NO"
Anyway good luck to you and we all look forward to hearing what the good doctor has to say.
Elaine
Hi Bobby,
I am just bringing the 2 page form for him to fill out and I will ask for copies of all my tests to submit to MSP. I'm not sure about the rest so that's why I am asking here if there is anything else? I will keep you informed about what he says.
Even if he is not going to be doing the WLS here for a while, the least he can do as my surgeon is to sign my application so I can try and get it approved out of country. I don't see why he would not do that for me or any of us for that matter. He was going to operate on us if he was given the opportunity so I'm sure he would want us to be given another chance at getting the WLS.
I don't think he is going to see any more new patients for a while due to the uncertainty pf the WLS which in a way is better for those who are just starting so they won't be misled.
Talk to you soon

Hi Sim,
I sure hope Dr M. signs the OOC papers for you. I can't imagine why he would not do so.
I have an appt with my endocronologist here on the island in early January to get him to sign my ooc forms. I also got my family doctor to refer me to Dr. Amson's list and I actually have an initial consult with Dr. A on July 12th which I thought was amazingly quick. My zest for WLS has lost alot of it's umph since I found out Dr. M did not have permission to do the surgery's and I have been concentrating on other area's of my life. I needed to get some balance back.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you. And I am interested in what surgeons you have researched in the Seattle area.
take care for now
Janice
