Hi Everyone, I emailed Leanne Legare's mother Marcia. I have been in contact with her basically since I started my journey. I wanted to let her know about the meeting in Feb. She and her children, Leanne and Ryan will all be there in support of the cause. They have all had the procedure. Marcia had some really good suggestions and I think it is important that we do this. 1. Keep a copy of all letters sent to Vancouver Coastal Authority and responses. 2. Contact your MLA's and invite them to the meeting. Keep all correspondence received from them. 3. Email the Minister of Health. Invite him to the meeting. Save copies of responses. 4. Register our intentions to speak with the Board regarding starting surgeries now. A lot of times if you don't register they will blow you off and say this is not on the agenda. Just because it is an open meeting it only means that the public can attend. 5. Invite the person who did the editorial in the Province newspaper to attend the meeting and let her know the topic. 6. Let everyone you can think of know about this meeting. 7. We need to get a petition going over the net and ask everyone on all sites to sign in favour of opening more surgical spots for everyone. I can start it and we can go through all of this site and go to Dr Amson's site. I don't belong to any other sites but anyone belonging can forward to them. This is an issue for all on the sites, whether they have their procedure done or not. If they have had already had the procedure, they must have friends that are waiting. I will be getting my group in Kelowna involved. The point is that we get as much support as possible. We will take all of this to the meeting. If anyone has further suggestions, post, we need everything idea we can get. Sarah

Hi Sarah, Would you mind forwarding the above information to Dr. Amson's support forum? I have forwarded the letter and what Dr. M said to every support group listed on Dr. Amson's website already over a week ago in hopes that they will forward it to their support group meetings, and to everyone who can help. I will speak to Jill Krop who lives in my building this weekend to see if she would like to do a story on the WLS and the struggles we are having. I'll keep you guys posted on what she says. Sim
