Just a few questions

Hi Everyone, I'm from the us and i was wondering is it hard to get this surgery? I have a friend that lives over there and she says that as far as she knows you can not get this surgery there. It looks like she might be wrong. I really don't know what part she live in but i will tell her about this site. Maybe if she has any questions on seeing what she could do to get this surgery you all could help her Take care Deb

Hi Deb, Yes WLS is available in BC. It is covered by our Medical Services Plan. There is also self pay lap band available. Unfortunately, the waiting time to get the surgery is quite long so if she's interested she should get her family doctor to refer her to a surgeon asap. Janice
