Topic: Got a Date!!
I finally got insurance approval (Ok I am not sure why I used the word Finally because it only took just over a week). Surgery date is Monday Feb 14th. Happy Valentine's Day to me!! Im disappointed it is 2months out. Cant believe how fast dates get booked with Dr. Blackstone. Im on the cancellation list so I am hoping for a sooner date.

what is your reasoning for the DS vs. RNY? I dont believe my insurance will cover the DS, but I think it would be a good idea to check all of my options.

Did you mean a PCP or a bariatric surgeon? There are many WLS friendly PCP's in Tucson, and several bariatric surgeons, but I don't know if any offer revisions. Some in Phoenix do though. Good luck! Hope you get some better answers, but don't be shy in offering more info! Good luck!

Small WOW moment for me.
I'm starting week 2 of my liquid diet and just want to say... I have real feet. My feet dont look like yams anymore. I'm so excited for this little thing. Cant wait for the many more WOW moments that I'm going to notice during my journey! One more week til December 7th and I will be continuing on the journey as a post op.

I had no problem at all. Actually as long as you have completed all the requirements and your labs are all up to speed. you will have no problem at all.....well that was my experience. Some others have had different experiences but I anticipate you will have a good experience as well.
