Hye Joyce,
I wish you well and a speedy recovery.....

BUT,  I'm curious.....If you don't mind, why a DS after a Revision??  I remember you had a distal, right?  You look great and you looked great last time I saw you.  I keep thinking what I would do if I had a blockage and would need to have surgery again.   You've are a great source of very good information...:)

Take a couple of large towels because the small ones the hospital provides is still fresh in my mind for some reason.

Take care,
Candy

Take the following:

1.  Squirt Gun to zap the nurses...they'll be bugging you for the first 24 hours

2.  Whoopie Cushion...once again to zap the nurses...just as they are walking out
of the room, give it a squeeze, and they'll think you are recup-ing faster than normal.

3.  Fart Spray...for #2 reason

Anything else that will bug 'em.  ha ha.

Just kidding Joyce, take a blankie!!!  It's so cold in the hospital, you'll need it!

One more suggestion, IF you should need to be in the hospital more than a day or two, Specificly request NOT TO BE DISTURBED at NIGHT except for absolutely neccesary things like blood draws or pain meds. I found being woke up every 2-3 hours for blood pressure checks and the like , really messed with my rest and healing. I needed that uninterupted sleep desperately to heal. I am not a "good day sleeper" so I asked to have anything that could be done before nite nite time, done and everything else put off till morning. This won't float the first night for sure but it's available if you are there longer. will be praying for you! Nancy

First off, congrats!!!
I agree..Drs Goodman & Partridge are amazing!  Dr Partridge delivered my oldest daughter (with Dr Goodman there as well) & Dr Goodman delivered my youngest daughter....they provided the best care!!!

Good luck :)

http://www.amazon.com/Proasis-Natural-Protein-Watermelon-2-9-Ounce/dp/B001XUQLBS

Joyce, yes,  this is a link to what they look like, about a buck something a piece at hi health and they come in 9 flavors, 25 grams of absorbable protein and CLEAR and grit free. They taste great room temp or cold, I actually prefer them room temp because that's what I got used to when I was in the hospital after the emergency surgery. All the flavors are good.

Looking back ... I wished I would have had an Ipod to listen to Music - it calms me.  and also an eye mask  to block out light and  if you have one thats an Ice pack - even better.

I have learned to take  my own chicken broth.  and flavored  and regular  drinking  water.  in a sport bottle that could lie in bed with me.

dont forget  the cell phone charger !!!
I'm a dinosaur and don't even own an Ipod  but I can always flip to the station that has the classicala music with the calming scenery?  Good idea with the eye mask!

I'll send you a text when all is well.  K?

Great ideas Debbie!  I LOVE raspberry vannilla lotion from Bath & Body

I never would have thought about taking my own water!  Hmmmm......it's on my Costco shopping list.....I'll be sipping water as well as shooting it in a feeding tube so I definitely need some "pure" water.  I'm picky too!

Cell phone AND charger?  Check!

Thanks friend!

Does anybody know how much Vit B12 you can absorb at one time.  I've just been upped to 25mg a day.  Can I take it all at once or do I need to divide it up.  Being taken sublingual I don't see why it matters.  I just want it to work the best for me.
