Topic: Meet the WLS Rock Stars for June 5th!!!

Michelle, also known as "Vitalady" is dedicated to helping obesity surgery patients remain nutritionally balanced and healthy for life. She and her hubby Don (Vitaguy)  share life experiences of themselves and many others like us, who are weight loss surgery patients. They have lost several hundred pounds, having both had Distal Gastric Bypass, well over 10 years ago!  They enjoy life to a much fuller extent than they ever thought possible.

The products they offer have been shown to help many patients who have had obesity surgery obtain and maintain their maximum weight loss, and to look and feel their best. Statistically, Michelle & Don have added many years to their lives by having had these procedures. ..."We believe that by maintaining our weight loss and nutritional balance, we have avoided or reversed the need for repair surgeries, diabetes, lung problems and a host of other ailments."

Vitalady (and Vitaguy) will lead the line up of WLS Rock Stars on Saturday June 5th!  They'll have the the latest information on nutrition for WLS post-ops and will offer info on the supplements we can use to become as strong and healthy as our new bodies can be.

The "VitaCouple" will answer your personal lab questions, nutrition questions, weight loss questions, etc as they entertain and offer their special style of unconditional love for their own WLS peeps!  You will LOVE them!

This is a rare treat to have them in our "neck of the woods" as they rarely budge from their home state of Washington where they are crazy busy addressing personal crisis of peeps around the Globe!

Topic: Support groups
Hi all...this is my first post on here so hopefully I'm doing it right! I'm planning on having a vertical sleeve done at Banner Gateway in July, but I haven't been able to get out there for a support group meeting!  I have evening classes every Tuesday and Wednesday up until my surgery time, and I was wondering if anyone knows any other support groups in the Phoenix metro area that run in the evening on other days or maybe on the weekends?  Thanks!!!!!

Those pain meds make me feel like I am drunk! LOL

I won't be able to come on the 5th because I am teaching the night session of summer school down here in Casa Grande. It is only a month so I hope to join in on the support groups in July.

Take care!!
Stacy

Interesting.
Yikes!  Another thread on Dr. Husted with some info and opinions to consider!  I considered going his direction for my revision to DS but am so grateful I went with Dr. K!

Thanks Wendy and Candy!  I'm going to work hard this week to get in my protein, water, do some walking etc so I can get to my june support mtgs!!!

Candy - the test generally used to look at your stoma/pouch is an endoscopy (lil camera orally and you're lightly sedated)...It's not a biggie and can give them all kinds of info.

See y'all soon!

Thanks!! Looking at my typos I see I should wait a bit after I take my pain meds before trying to type like an intellegent person! LOL
Typing like an intelligent person is highly over rated!  I've been attempting it for years and have decided that like you, my recent drug induced notes are just fine!  People read through the oopsies:)

So glad you're recovering Miss Stacy!  I'm a whimp so I'll take my stock of pain meds as long as I think they're needed to keep the owie's at bay!  LOL!

My ONLY motivation for getting weaned is so I can drive again and get out a bit!  But...since I can't walk very far I guess it's all balanced with the healing time thing.

Here's to a great week of healing so we can both hit our support groups for June!!!!  (See you at the Super Sat Seminar on the 5th?)

Healing hugs your way,
