BASEMENTS IN AZ??

Hi all, We will be moving to phoeinix or tuscan area. Do you all have basements?? I know when i lived in fl they are not comman at all, are they comman there??? thanks, susie

Not common but there are some here. We started looking for a house with a basement last year and just didn't have any luck. But I do know that there are a couple builders building new homes with basements....and yes...they are very proud $$$$ of them.

They exist, but they are not common. They tend to be on the somewhat more expensive homes. Sandy

People have already answered... but.... Not common at all... the ground here is too hard, and it takes a lot of special requirements to make a stable basement, and reduce flooding. You pay like an extra $80-100k for a basement on a home.
