did anyone have to get cardiac and pulmanary clearance?
 Hi Sally!
Prescott is about the same distance as Phoenix from you but without the traffic. However, I would take Darlene's suggestion to use the ones Dr. Fang has people go to at St. Luke's.
No -- no anxiety anymore. I am so happy. I can say that I am absolutely relaxed. I jump out of bed in the morning and holler the number of the days from surgery. This morning I yelled, "16!" hahahahaha! My sister yells, "SHUT UP!" from upstairs.
Hugs!

I also had a cardiac stress test which I got a script from the Surgeon and scheduled it thru the local hospital but after that test I had to see the cardiologist for him to write a clearance. I got a script from the Surgeon for Pulmonary function tests which again was scheduled thru my local hospital. My pulmonary clearance came from my PCP only because he is a pulmonologist. Check with your insurance company and I am sure they can recommend these two specialists. Remember though you most likely will have to have a cardiac stress test and a pulmonary function test which is no big deal. In my case I also had to have a cardiac catherization because they thought they saw something but it turned out to be nothing. Better safe than sorry. Hope all works out for you soon.
