Looks like the consensus is to get another surgeon. You want a surgeon who UNDERSTANDS this whole process and is easy to work with. It might take a bit longer in the long run (switching doctors), but it'll be worth it. Let us know what you decide. Man....the hoops we have to jump through. You're sooo right, Trisha! We get treated like a bunch of psych cases that might not even deserve to have our lives saved through surgery. Would any doctor ever tell a heart patient that needed a four way bypass to go get psychological counseling in order to be a candidate for surgery? - or to go on a low cholesterol diet for a few months before surgery to prove he was a good candidate? What crap! It doesn't pass the laugh test, but somehow we obese people are expected to suck it down hook, line, and sinker. Maybe someday we'll all realize we have to stand up together as one and say we're not gonna take it anymore. - Stephanie J
