LOCAL SUPPORT GROUPS

I know our online groups are great, but we all need face-to-face support whether you are a pre-op, newbie or grad patient at goal. It's easy to fall back into bad habits the further we are out from surgery, or to chicken out of having surgery pre-op. Taking the time to come to support group is vital in support of WLS! Here are a list of Arizona support groups that I am aware of. I hope you print this out or save this and come to a meeting soon. Even if you haven't lost in weeks or maybe you are gaining now, don't let that keep you from coming to a support group. WLS patients do not judge you on weekly weight loss. We all understand it's a journey with highs and lows along the way. Even if you don't share or talk at the meeting, come anway! It'll do you good even if you don't think it will. Trisha - the East Valley DayTimers is not active at this time. There was not a lot of interest, then I was having some health issues, and currently in the middle of a major home project. If someone wishes to pick it up and run with it I would be very happy to give them full access to the yahoo group to get things going. Sandy
