Dinner in Chandler/Tempe area Saturday night?

Hi everyone Just thought I'd check in and see if perhaps anyone would be interested in getting together for dinner or some other event on Saturday night or sometime this coming week? My hubby, Alan, and I are flying to AZ tomorrow for my dad's birthday and will be there for a week (he's in Chandler). I lived in AZ for 5 years back in the late 80's/early 90's while at ASU and am pretty familiar with the area and could meet in any of the neighboring cities. Caroline --I enjoyed reading your profile and seeing your pics. WOW definately a "butterfly emerges"! I am 10 days post-op and it was a huge boost to see someone who WAS about my size and see the progress so well documented. Hi there Thank you and so glad that my sharing is of help! Looks like my hubby and I will be busy tomorrow night afterall, but someone in the OH main message board mentioned about a potluck gathering in Tuscon tomorrow afternoon. I'd be game for this if I can get the details. Otherwise, hubby and I were thinking of going to the Phoenix Zoo or walking around Mill Street in Tempe (I am eager to go to the Changing Hands bookstore which was a hangout of mine when I went to ASU back in the late 80's/early 90's). No problem. Just an FYI...prepare for a HUGE culture shock on Mill Ave. Still very walkable and lots to see. But Changing Hands has moved many years ago to McClintock /Guadalupe--unfortunately it's much more commercial. Changing Hands 6428 S McClintock Dr Tempe, AZ 85283 480-730-0205
