Well I ended up having my surgery on the 19th of november instead of the 18th. Due to some scheduling problems and I did not find out until I was at the hospital checking in for surgery!!! But it all worked out and they got me in the next morning. I must say my nerves were a little shaken, but I just kept on praying and I was fine. The surgery went perfect, I woke up in recovery and felt fine. If I had to take a guess about 10-15 minutes after I came to, I had some muscle spasms in my stomache! It felt exactly like a charlie horse in the calf, but in the stomache instead. But I just stayed calm, took some deep breathes and I got thru them. They continued for the next 24 hours, but I just would breathe thru them and it wasn't that bad. My hospital care was amazing and over all I am recovering well. I am 9 days out today and have lost 20 pounds and I seem to keep my liquids down fine. Though I am so sick of vanilla or chocolate protein! If there is any ?'s for anyone who is pre-op, I would be glad to share anything I have learned so far for survival Take care everyone and thanks again for the support!

Wendy, I am glad to hear that you are home and doing well. Since you do not have a profile who was your doc? I hope you nothing but the speedies of recoveries. Tanya T

Glad your care was amazing. Boy, I wasn't all that impressed with mine, nor was my hubby. (VERY insensitive to HIS needs) I'm 8 days post op, and have no clue if I've lost at all, as I don't own a scale. I may have to "borrow" one @ Walmart...LOL Glad you are doing so well!!!! Good luck!

Wendy - my surgery is on the 8th. That is a week from this coming Monday. I am nervous about it so have decided to focus on the fact that two weeks from today I will have been home for two days and on the losing side of life. Two weeks is going to fly by. I am having my surgery at the Bariatric Treatment Center in Scottsdale and my Grand Opening will be performed by Dr. Eric Schlesinger. Who is your doctor and where did you have your surgery? Do fill out a profile on here so we can get to know you better. Sandra
