Anyone interested in WLS AZ Meet Up!?!

Hello everyone! I realize there isn't much going on this forum, but I personally would like to meet other WLS patients out there no matter what type (DS, VSG, Lap Band or RNY).

I've been to one group meeting, but that was out in Scottsdale - a bit of a drive. Happened to be their smallest meeting to date. Was nice, but wasn't what I expected. I plan on heading out there again to try again, but was wondering if there were others out there that would like to meet other WLS patients?

I think that would be fun.

 I think it's a great idea!!  i hear there is a meeting on the west side somewhere.  I can't recall right now.  :) 

 Yes there are 94th  Ave and Thrunderbird.. 2nd Friday of each Month.. 

For what it's worth and a month late, I like the idea.  I think that if we were to sort of band together, we could provide a great resource for one another through both social support and accountability.

 I would be interested in something on the east side of town. I believe Chandler Hospital  will allow use of meeting rooms  for non profit groups/ peer support .

Okay - Maybe I will take this on  - set up an initial meeting at Chandler Hospital.

I know I will get a million different answers, but is there a particular day of the week, time, that works best?

MizzEvil - what are youlooking for in a group meeting - friends, support, answers, all of the above?  If you are looking for professional advice, then the organized groups with the various surgeons is probably best to stick with.

If you are looking for "support", then heck yeah - lets do it!
