Stuck in the gut

Well i had chicken and rice last night for dinner. Something that I have had before. Well something is stuck in my stomach. I can't drink anything because with in 2 minutes I am throwing it back up. I figure if i drink a lot the water it will either move what's ever stuck in my pouch out or I will throw it up. No such luck. I want to avoid going into the doctor if at all possible. Has anyone had anything stuck that took a couple of days for it to dislodge or did you have to go into the doctors?

call !!!   Could be a stricture .. You  dont want to mess around if it is..  I am sure Randy , Melissa or the new doc are on call .... Best to be safe and call   .

In the past I have  used some meat tenderizer in  warm water and drink it ... but it should not go on for days .

I would call... I couldn't eat rice for well over a year post-op.

It's too soon for those really starchy foods.  You are barely 4 months post op... have you had your 4 month visit with the dietians to be released on all foods?

Red, Rice was always a hard thing for me to digest and couldnt eat it at all when only as new as you are. Now at almost 3 years out I can finally eat a little rice. I would check with your doctor because it has lasted this long before it came up. Gail

I can do rice.  I have just a tiny bit but I hardly have any problems with anything anymore.  Complete opposite from 2 months ago.  You need to call.  I know for me Randy said if that happens and lasts longer than a day or two its a problem.  He will likely tell you to try broth for 24 hours. If broth is being thrown up a stricture is likely.

How have you been?  Its been a long time, to long (my fault).

Lyns,

You look fantastic. I have not seen you post in a while. But what a difference. Keep up the great work.
