Chemotherapy and the Lap Band

I have not seen this topic posted yet on this board even though I may have missed it.  Well, I was diagnosed with pelvis cancer and will be needing chemotherapy.  They put a port in your chest for the chemo and I was wondering if this would cause any problems with the lap band.  I just called my Lap Band doctor to ask about this and am waiting for a call back.  I was hoping that maybe someone here has already dealt with this and can help me out.

Thank you in advance for your help,
Maureen

Ahhhhh Maureen.......(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))) !!!!

I don't have a clue about the effects of chemo on the band but just want you to know that you'll be in my prayers sweetie pie!  ......  I understand that protein loading for even "non-wls" folks who go through chemo is very beneficial....maybe something you could start right away!

Let us know how we can help.....I make a great pot of chicken soup
